e-Scan™ AGATE is the second generation self-service scanning kiosk by i2S DigiBook. New features include 300 dpi, and embedded OCR (Optical Character Recognition). e-Scan™ AGATE is the most powerful, easy to use self-service scanning kiosk on the market.

Key Features

State-of-the-art OCR
The e-Scan™ AGATE includes the latest recognition engine and formatting technology. Page analysis is done on the color image, resulting in better zone segmentation. The searchable PDF provides the ability to copy and paste OCR'd text into any word processing software.

e-Scan™ AGATE supports more than 137 languages including all European languages with Central-European, Baltic, Greek and Cyrillic (‘Russian’). Add-ons are available for recognition of 4 Asian languages: Japanese, Korean, Traditional and Simplified Chinese and also for Hebrew and Arabic. Multilingual recognition is also available, the OCR engine recognizes 2 languages on the same document.

e-Scan™ AGATE is fully compatible with all USB payment devices and all serial port devices such as Cartadis and Cartax. e-Scan™ AGATE is also compatible with copier payment devices such as Pharos and Intercard.

Accessories

  • e-light (The e-Light offers 600 LUX light. Its the perfect solution for rooms with difficult lighting conditions (darkness, non uniformity). The e-light design protects the operator. The accessory consists of a lighting mounted on the front of the scanner and attached to the head’s scanner column. This option provides a consistent light any time, day or night with good color rendering)
  • RFID reader ( The RFID reader allows you to manage, control and monetize the use of the e-Scan™ AGATE)
  • USB footswitch (The USB footswitch allows you to free up your hand when scanning multiple pages)
