Our BookScan Editor Software converts an entire book of raw, scanned images into finished, digitized images with metadata indexing. Superior Optical Character Recognition (OCR), such as multilingual support for nearly 200 languages, can be achieved using either the award-winning and powerful ABBYY FineReader or Arabic OCR using Sakhr. Both provide faster, more accurate, high quality PDF conversions and several document-saving options that enable full, long-term accessibility of resources.

Archive

Kirtas makes it easy and practical to archive as well as preserve your records.

Through our digitization workflow, Kirtas captures all the required metadata to comply with METS/ALTO standard. This creates a data surrogate of your original document—the “DNA” of your book—allowing you to recreate your original document at any time in the future.

Output

Once a digitized image has been created and processed, what comes next? Well, pretty much anything you can imagine! As most files are created for preservation and access purposes, CDs, DVDs and hard drives are the most requested storage formats.
