On-Site Operation

Kirtas offers a number of solutions with the purchase or lease of a Kirtas APT BookScan system for digitizing, processing and output of your materials from start to finish.

With an APT system on site at your location, you can handle all of the capture and processing at your own pace and on your own schedule. Depending on your project, we can also provide an image technician to come on site and handle the scanning portion of your job for a limited time, while we process your images at our on-site service bureau.

In-House Solution: The Kirtas Service Bureau

Alternately, you can ship your books to our in-house facility, the Kirtas Service Bureau. KSB has complete state-of-the art equipment and highly-trained Image Technicians ready to turn your books into professional, digital files ready for web presentation, electronic distribution or archival storage.

Once your books are delivered to KSB, they will be inventoried and introduced into our workflow using our propriety inventory tracking system that tracks every step of the digitization process. Your books are scanned and processed by experienced Image Technicians to preserve the highest quality possible.  The files will then be converted into any of several possible output formats and packaged for retrieval from our servers at your convenience or long term storage in our secure, onsite servers.

The Hybrid Solution

For books too precious or confidential to transport, you can use your Kirtas APT BookScan System to capture images on site at your location. Once images are digitized and stored digitally, an experienced Kirtas Image Technician will remotely process the books via a secure internet connection.
