Kirtas APT BookScan 2400RA™
Kirtas continues to rewrite the story of the conversion of books to bytes with the introduction of the APT BookScan 2400RA™.
Now there’s a practical alternative to high-speed digitization of bound documents without the need for disbinding and without sacrificing quality.
The BookScan 2400RA™ leverages Kirtas’ patented technology to operate twice as fast as the APT BookScan 1200™. That’s an image acquisition rate of 2400 pages per hour!
The APT 2400RA™ is equipped with two 21.1 megapixel EOS-1Ds Mark III Canon digital cameras. They photograph each right- and left-hand page simultaneously through the cameras’ Canon 24-70mm Zoom EF lenses. Resolution can be set to 330 or 400 pixels per inch, with the potential to interpolate to as high as 600 dpi through companion software.
The 2400RA™ includes one high performance Intel Blade server and two 21.1 megapixel EOS-1Ds Mark III Canon digital cameras that allow for simultaneous image capture, processing, quality control, and OCR conversion. In addition, the 2400RA™ is configured to allow for remote access processing, which means while your image technician is digitizing books at your main facility, others can be working on image processing, quality control and OCR conversion on other books - without the need for moving files from one server to another.
It's all about productivity without sacrificing quality. And while the cycle time is dramatically faster, set-up time has also been reduced through engineering simplification - so you capture more pages per hour, with less downtime between books.
